Why should you book a natural bridal makeup artist for your special day rather than ask a generic makeup artist to replicate a natural look?
There are tons of talented MUAs out there, and I’m sure most of them will swear they can do any look you want (including that natural, glowy, your face but better vibe).
But can they REALLY?
Here are five reasons why you should book a natural bridal makeup artist (like me!) over a regular MUA:
1. We know what we’re doing!
Everyone’s version of a natural makeup is subjective, but opting for someone who specialises in the niche means you know what you’re getting.
Ol’ Sally off of Instagram might assure you she can do you a natural look, but her portfolio photos look like they’d give Ru Paul a run for his money.
Some people will say ANYTHING to get the booking, so never hire anyone for your wedding day unless you can see they’ve previously created the kind of look you’re after on the regular.

2. We’ll make you look timeless!
Pink eyeshadow might be all the rage now (no idea why) but when you look back at your wedding photos in 10 years time you’ll feel like a right tit for letting Sandra the glam makeup artist cover your lids in layers and layers of shiny pink pigment.
A natural bridal makeup artist will usually steer clear of fads and trends, and instead just make you look beautiful.
Which is what every bride wants really, RIGHT?
3. We make sure you still look like you!
A natural makeup look should highlight your best features and distract from any imperfections. That’s pretty much it!
There’s no nose contouring, face reshaping or any other new fangled ‘hack’ to try and make you look like someone else.

Now I might be slightly biased here but I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that a natural wedding makeup artist will ALWAYS listen to what you want.
You see, we’re experts in keeping things subtle, so that means if there’s ever any teeny tiny thing you don’t like about your bridal look we will fix it ASAP for you.
5. We’re flipping talented…
There, I said it!
Natural makeup might not seem difficult, honestly, if I had a pound for every time someone said “But it’s natural makeup, can you do it cheaper?” I’d be rich! RICH I TELL YOU!
But the reality is, it’s pretty hard to make someone look like they’re not wearing anything at all.
It’s much easier to just cover someone in crazy coloured eyeshadow and thick layers of foundation and send them on their merry way to makeup HELL.
Trust me when I say that it takes REAL SKILL to nail the effortlessly natural look, even if I do say so myself.
